Mediplacements are currently recruiting for an experienced band 6 Microbiology Biomedical Scientist to work in a laboratory in Nottinghamshire.
This is a full:time position due to start as soon as possible with a pay rate of up to GBP24 per hour.
Job Description:
Ideally the candidate will be working at a Band 5/6 level in Microbiology, with extensive experience in bacteriology especially wounds, genital and urine cultures.
The department use Maldi:TOF for identification, with Microscan for MIC sensitivity testing, and Adagio for plate reading, experience of these analysers would be desirable.
Experience of Winpath Enterprise would also be very desirable. The Microbiology Department use QPulse for our Quality Management System, and the candidate would be expected to authorise results according to the SOPs and authorising guidelines as directed by the clinical team, once signed off as competent in the area.
