Our client, a busy and well-established Accountancy Practice based in Belfast, is currently seeking a motivated and ambitious Part Qualified Accountant to join their growing team.

This is an excellent opportunity for an individual currently studying ACCA/ACA/CIMA who is keen to further develop their career within a supportive and professional practice environment.

The Role

Working as part of a busy accounts team, the successful candidate will gain exposure to a varied portfolio of clients across multiple sectors. You will assist with the preparation of accounts, tax returns, bookkeeping, and management accounts while building strong client relationships.

Key Responsibilities

1. Preparation of year-end accounts for sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies
2. Assisting with management accounts preparation
3. Preparation and submission of VAT returns
4. Bookkeeping duties using cloud-based accounting software
5. Supporting the preparation of personal and corporate tax returns
6. Assisting senior accountants and managers with client work
7. Liaising with clients regarding financial information and queries
8. Ensuring compliance with accounting standards and deadlines
9. Supporting audit assignments where required

Essential Criteria

10. Currently studying towards ACCA, ACA, or CIMA qualification
11. Previous experience working within an Accountancy Practice environment
12. Strong understanding of bookkeeping and accounting principles
13. Experience using accounting software such as Xero, Sage, or QuickBooks
