Job Title: 1:1 Tutor (Home & School-Based) Location: Kettering and surrounding areas Hours: During school hours (term time only) Contract: Flexible / Part-time About the Role We are looking for an experienced 1:1 Tutor to support pupils in home and school settings across the Kettering area. You will deliver personalised learning to help pupils re-engage with education, build confidence, and make academic progress. This role is ideal for qualified teachers or experienced education professionals with strong classroom practice. Key Responsibilities Deliver tailored 1:1 tuition in English and Maths (KS1–KS4 depending on placement) Plan and adapt lessons to meet individual pupil needs Work in pupils’ homes or school settings during school hours Track and report on pupil progress Build positive, supportive learning relationships Follow safeguarding and child protection procedures at all times Requirements Minimum 2 years’ teaching experience in a school or educational setting Strong knowledge of the UK National Curriculum Experience working with children or young people on a 1:1 or small group basis Ability to plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons Strong communication and interpersonal skills Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one) Right to work in the UK QTS is desirable but not essential.
