About the Role
Care Workers make a difference by providing a highly personal service that enables people to live as independently as possible in their own home. The role involves supporting residents of Jubilee Court—a 36‑flat independent living facility based in the centre of March. Driving is not required; all amenities are accessible on foot.
Shifts: 14:00–22:00, 07:00–14:00, 07:30–12:00, with occasional 22:00–08:00 night shifts. Shifts are allocated on a 2‑week rolling rota, allowing flexibility to pick up more hours if desired.
* Assist with personal care, washing, dressing, and administration of medication
* Help with meal preparation and use of the on‑site dining room
* Support trips into the local community (shops, doctors, pharmacy)
* Perform light household chores around the flats
* Offer companionship and help build residents’ confidence and independence
Key Criteria
* Willingness to work alternate weekends
* No prior experience required; full training will be provided
* Practical skills such as cooking and household responsibilities are desirable
* Knowledge of health and safety, moving and handling practices
* Experience in personal care (washing, dressing)
* Experience with medication administration
* Support with appointments
