We are seeking a highly experienced and commercially astute Senior Planner to join our prestigious planning and development team, delivering landmark luxury projects across Central London. This is a pivotal role for a planning professional with a proven track record in navigating complex planning environments associated with super-prime residential schemes and high-end hospitality developments. You will be instrumental in strategically guiding projects from inception through to planning approval, working closely with private developers, high-net-worth individuals, architects, and design teams. The role demands a sophisticated understanding of the London planning landscape, with an emphasis on sensitive heritage locations, listed buildings, and design-led architecture. Key Responsibilities: * Lead on planning strategy for high-value, design-intensive residential and hotel developments in prime Central London boroughs (e.g., Westminster, Kensington & Chelsea, Camden). * Manage all aspects of the planning process from feasibility through to submission and appeal where necessary. * Provide strategic planning advice to private clients, consultants, and stakeholders. * Liaise effectively with local planning authorities, heritage officers, GLA, and other statutory bodies. * Prepare and review high-quality planning statements, design and access statements, and supporting documentation. * Coordinate and lead pre-application discussions, public consultations, and planning committee presentations. * Monitor policy developments and advise clients on implications for current and future projects. * Mentor junior planners and support internal professional development within the team. Candidate Requirements: * RTPI-accredited degree or equivalent in Planning or a related discipline. * Chartered Member of the RTPI (or working towards it). * Minimum 5–7 years’ experience, ideally including time spent in a London-based planning consultancy or developer. * Proven experience delivering planning consents for luxury residential and/or hospitality projects in heritage-sensitive urban settings. * Deep understanding of Central London borough planning frameworks and political environments. * Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills. * Commercially minded with an appreciation for design, architecture, and the unique nuances of the luxury market. * Able to manage multiple high-profile projects simultaneously under tight deadlines.
