Job Description
* Prior experience in basic cooking methods like cutting of ingredients, grilling, frying and preparing various dishes.
* Upkeeping cleanliness standards.
* Prepare food items as per standard recipe cards whilst maintaining portion control and minimizing wastage
* Apply necessary precautions with regards to the hotel food safety and hygiene standards (HACCP)
* Clean and maintain all equipment within the food production area. Focus on Cross contamination.
* Versatile in the kitchen, with experience supporting both culinary and kitchen porter duties.
Other Responsibilities
* Be well versed in hotel fire & life safety/emergency procedure.
* Attend all briefings, meetings and trainings as assigned by management.
* Maintain a high standard of personal appearance and hygiene at all times.
* Perform other reasonable duties assigned by the Management.
* Service oriented with an eye for details.
* Ability to work effectively and contribute in a team as well as work independently.
Qualifications
* Should be comfortable doing both Early Morning and evening shifts.
* Flexible to work 5 days between Monday - Sunday.
* Knowledge in Culinary department is preferred.
* Should be able to multi-task.
* Team Work.
* Time Keeping.
