About the Role:


The Sales Manager is responsible for ensuring the internal dealer sales team is operating as a high performing team. They are responsible for ensuring sales targets are met and done so in a manner that is aligned to the business culture.


It is important they are an excellent people manager; they are managing multiple team leaders and subsequent dealer account managers beneath them. In the role, discipline is important to ensure well structured, data driven, factual performance conversations and team meetings to manage and drive improvements in sales performance.


The Sales Manager will liaise with other business stakeholders to ensure the successful on-boarding of new recruits (route to competence) and then responsible for ensuring the on-going competence of the team.



Responsibilities:


* Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of sales professionals to consistently achieve and exceed monthly sales targets.
* Foster a high-performance, collaborative team culture in line with Jigsaw’s values.
* Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as revenue, deal volumes, conversion rates, call stats and call quality.
* Handle call escalations and expressions of dissatisfaction within the team.
* Act in accordance with all FCA Individual Conduct Rules and company policies.
* Take personal responsibility for treating customers fairly (TCF) and delivering good outcomes under the Consumer Duty.
* Promptly escalate any potential conduct breaches or risks to line management.
* Chair a daily meeting with Head of Business Development and Team Leaders to agree the messaging and context for the daily morning meetings with the sales team (using pre-agreed agenda).
* Shadow, coach and develop the Team Leader so they’re delivering excellent morning briefings.
* Attend the business-wide Daily Management Meeting in the absence of Head of Business Development.
* Fill in delivering the morning sales team meeting in the absence of a Team Leader.
* Complete monthly 121’s with all team members ensuring they’re structured, honest and performance driven with achievable goals and support agreed.
* Chair a mid-day huddle to review daily performance (using pre-agreed agenda).
* Distribution of new dealer enquiries to the team to prospect ensuring accurate reporting is maintained and monitored through to first proposal and deal.
* Work with the Head of Business Development to ensure marketing data is distributed to the most appropriate Account Managers, ensuring the success is monitored.
* Work with the Accounts team to ensure new starters are setup in a timely manner and in line with the companies on-boarding process.
* Ensure a role specific timetable of induction is drafted and circulated prior to joining the business.
* Work with other stakeholders across the business to ensure new starters have a strong understanding of key departments and process when on-boarded.
* Sign off the competence of new starters.
* Feedback QA calls within 24-48 hours.
* Ensure all team members maintain required competence standards.
* Conduct one-on-one coaching sessions including call listening, pipeline reviews, and performance appraisals to drive individual and team development.
* Document all feedback in a structured manner with SMART objectives.
* Complete all HR requirements with team members including but not limited to return-to-work assessments, disciplinary hearings, performance plans etc.
* Administer incentives.
* Sign off deals in line with pre-defined business standards.
* Sign off the team rota’s and resource planning to make sure the department is sufficiently resourced.
* Support the Account Manager in creating bespoke rate packages for dealerships.



Candidate Requirements:


* Previous Sales Management experience including experience of managing people - within car finance or car sales.
* An ability to mentor, motivate, and manage a team of sales staff to meet targets, including conducting performance conversations and improving team performance.
* Excellent organisational skills.
* Excellent written and oral skills.
* An ability to manage their time and calendar well, with discipline .
* An excellent interpretation of performance data and an ability to translate it into performance conversations.
* Excellent people management skills including an ability to motivate a team.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.


About Jigsaw Finance:


Jigsaw Finance is the UK’s fastest growing Motor Finance brokerage. The business operates two primary routes to market;


* Processing introductions from motor dealerships across the UK who have customers wishing to purchase a vehicle on finance (B2B).
* Processing finance applications made online by customers via digital marketing, working with them to source a vehicle on finance from a dealership of their choice (D2C).


The business’ objective is to offer and place the customer with a finance solution that works for them. The business receives a finance commission from the lender for successfully writing a finance agreement; this is our primary revenue stream.


The business also operates a separate team to offer optional additional products (such as warranty) to customers after the finance agreement is funded to ensure they have suitable protection for their recent purchase.



The Role:

* Full Time, Permanent
* Fully Remote - occasional office visits to Macclesfield, Leeds or Stoke on Trent
* £40,000 to £60,000 Basic Salary (Depending on Experience)
* Bonus Structure - circa £20,000 per Annum based on Performance
