About the Role:
We're a leading bathroom product company, and we're currently seeking a reliable and safety-conscious Yard Shunter to support our nightshift logistics operations during a peak trading period.
This is a temporary position with potential long-term opportunities for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities:
* Operate HGV vehicles within the yard safely and efficiently
* Collect trucks, empty returned pallets, and position trailers on loading bays as instructed
* Assist in securing loads safely and in line with company procedures
* Perform walkaround vehicle checks and report (or remedy) minor defects such as bulbs (preferable)
* Maintain the upkeep of the external pallet storage area using an FLT
* Communicate clearly with nightshift management to coordinate vehicle movement and respond to operational needs

✅ Requirements:
* Valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) licence and up-to-date CPC & Tacho card
* Fluency in English (essential for health & safety and clear communication)
* Competent FLT operator (in-house or accredited licence preferred)
* Strong understanding of yard safety and logistics coordination
* Proactive and reliable, with good attention to detail
