Full Stack Software Engineer (Back-End Leaning) | Hybrid Working | Award-Winning SaaS | £55,000 – £80,000 | Tech for Good Are you a passionate Full Stack Developer who enjoys building cloud-first, scalable back-end solutions but still wants to stay hands-on with modern front-end tech? Join an award-winning EdTech SaaS company based in Huddersfield that's transforming education outcomes across the UK and internationally. You’ll be joining a highly skilled, agile team building modern, scalable software with a strong emphasis on Azure cloud services and infrastructure as code (Terraform), alongside the latest Microsoft and JavaScript technologies. We’re currently looking for two developers to join the team: one at a lead level and one at a mid/senior level. What You’ll Be Doing Collaborating in an agile, Scrum-based team to build and enhance features in our flagship education platform Designing and implementing robust back-end services in .NET and Azure, while also contributing to modern front-end development in React/TypeScript Solving complex problems through clean, maintainable code using best practices like SOLID, DRY, and test-first development Working with cloud infrastructure tools such as Terraform to ensure scalable, secure deployments Tracing and fixing bugs, refactoring legacy code, and contributing to architectural decisions Advising Product Owners and cross-functional teams on technical feasibility and implementation strategies Taking the technical lead on greenfield and legacy projects alikeRole Requirements 5 years of commercial software development experience .NET / C# – including object-oriented design, greenfield dev, and working with legacy systems SQL – advanced querying, performance-focused database design, Azure SQL experience Experience in modern front-end tech – React, TypeScript, Redux Strong knowledge of Azure cloud services and infrastructure-as-code (Terraform preferred) Understanding of containerisation (Docker, Kubernetes is a bonus) A solid understanding of software architecture, design patterns, and technical debt management Strong unit and integration testing practices Proven ability to lead on technical solutions from idea through to implementationSalary and Benefits £55,000 – £80,000 per annum Hybrid working with one day a week in Huddersfield 25 days holidays Bank Holidays Flexible working hours Range of staff incentives and social activities Excellent working environment and collaborative cultureKeywords: C#, .NET, SQL, React, TypeScript, Redux, Azure, Terraform, Docker, Kubernetes, CosmosDB, MongoDB
