Join a leading Australian wholesaler of artificial flora, homewares, and furniture.

We’re seeking a proactive and hands‑on Outlet Team Leader / Merchandise Assistant to oversee the daily operations of our Blackburn outlet and assist our merchandise team with showroom visual merchandising, re‑lays and maintenance. Reporting directly to the Operations Manager, this role combines leadership, customer service, and merchandising within a fast‑paced, creative environment.


About the Role

At Elme Living, we blend quality, creativity, and service to inspire beautiful interiors across Australia. We’re looking for a proactive Outlet Team Leader to oversee our Blackburn outlet, reporting to the Operations Manager.

This is a hands‑on role that combines leadership, sales, and merchandising. You’ll lead by example on the sales floor — engaging with customers, driving sales performance, and ensuring every interaction reflects our brand values. You’ll also play a key role in showroom merchandising, including stock handling, display maintenance, and supporting product re‑sets and promotional setups.

What You’ll Do

Lead by example, delivering outstanding customer service and daily operational excellence.

Manage stock flow, unpacking, ticketing, and preparing displays.

Maintain accurate records in Pronto Xi and ScanXpress.

Manage POS operations including EFTPOS, and daily reconciliation.

Support showroom re‑sets, merchandising, and product displays.

Liaise with warehouse, logistics, and head office teams to coordinate stock movements.

Coach and motivate your team to meet sales and presentation goals.

Uphold WHS and brand standards across the outlet.

Conduct minor repairs and maintenance to ensure stock quality.


What You’ll Bring

Leadership or supervisory experience (retail, furniture, or homewares).

Ability to lead, motivate, and support a small team while driving sales through example and customer engagement.

Practical, hands‑on approach to handling and maintaining furniture and homewares, including basic repairs and maintenance.

Strong organisational and customer service skills.
