Overview
We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to help deliver our regulatory responsibilities as the Enforcement Authority for the Reservoirs Act 1975 in England. The Reservoirs Act helps to ensure the safe operation and management of dams. You will join the Compliance and Monitoring team within the Reservoir Regulation team, and help monitor compliance with the Reservoirs Act 1975 for the 2140 reservoirs in England.
Responsibilities
* Manage day-to-day correspondence
* Record incoming documentation on our database to ensure records are accurate and up to date
* Encourage compliance when reports or certificates are not received as expected
* Be the first point of contact for reservoir owners and panel engineers
* Provide information and advice on the requirements of the Act
Requirements / Skills
* Good verbal and written communications skills
* Attention to detail
* Ability to prioritise a varied workload
Role Details
* Part-time job share (22.2 hours per week)
* Travel and overnight stays may be required as the team is nationally dispersed
* Location: flexible within England (you can be based at any Environment Agency office)
* Interviews will be conducted remotely via Microsoft Teams
