Pay starts from £13.35 an hour; increases to £14.56 for stores inside the M25. Additional payments may apply depending on location.
New colleagues joining us are offered a minimum of 16 guaranteed hours per week. If you prefer fewer hours (minimum 12), there are options available and we would still love to hear from you.
The availability windows shown indicate periods during which we would like you to be available. We will schedule contracted hours within these times and provide 3 weeks notices of shifts. We are open to flexibility if your available times closely match but do not exactly align with the advertised times.
Customers are at the heart of everything we do. Delivery drives Tesco’s service across the country. Our Customer Delivery Drivers meet customers in their homes daily and provide more than driving—delivering great service with a smile.
It is a hands-on, physical role with variety. Most shifts let you feel like your own boss delivering to customers, with a team of Managers and colleagues back at base for support.

You will be responsible for
Delivering your part of the customer shopping trip by:
* Ensuring the van and trays are clean and tidy
* Leaving the back yard clean and picking up litter
* Washing trays as part of the tray wash process
* Loading the van, checking roadworthiness
* Discussing order changes with customers, offering refunds where appropriate
* Taking care of products and deliveries
* Explaining substitutions and ensuring customers are not charged more
* Delivering during the customer time slot
* Calling the customer before arriving if early
* Calling the store if running 30+ minutes late
You will need
* Build relationships with colleagues to create team spirit
* Warm, welcoming interactions with customers and colleagues
* Ability to respond quickly to changing customer needs
* Energetic and driven to deliver beyond expectations
* Share ideas with management to improve the store
* A valid UK/EU/EEA Driving licence (Full or Automatic only) for at least 12 months with no more than 3 penalty points
