Eaton Syalon is exclusively partnering with a dynamic and expanding SME to recruit a talented Assistant Financial Accountant.Youll play a key role in supporting the preparation of financial accounts, compliance tasks, tax reporting, budgeting, and audit processes. Main Responsibilities: - Assist with the preparation of balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports -Ensure compliance with tax laws, accounting standards, and financial regulations -Support month-end and year-end closing processes -Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial record - Assist in financial planning, forecasting, and projections -Support internal and external audit processes by providing documentation and responding to queries -Monitor budget variances and provide insights to the finance team - Prepare and assist with the filing of corporate tax returns - Analyse financial data to identify trends, variances, and potential improvements Person Profile: - AAT qualified / part qualified (CIMA/ACCA/ACA) - An ambitious individual looking to develop - Great for those looking to work remotely (occasional travel to Nottinghamshire based office) - Strong Excel skills to include pivot tables and V look ups -Understanding of accounting principles, tax regulations, and compliance requirements *Candidates who are qualified by experience and not actively studying will be considered for the role if you're able to demonstrate the above experience*.
