Evaluating the Implementation of a Mental Health Joint Response Car with Young People and Families
The Division of Health Research (DHR) within Lancaster University’s Faculty of Health and Medicine is seeking to fill a Research Associate position.
This role involves supporting a 3-year research project funded by NIHR HSDR, evaluating the Mental Health Joint Response Car (MHJRC) for young people. The project aims to produce evidence on its quality, accessibility, and operational effectiveness within health and social care services, potentially enabling national rollout.
Your responsibilities include leading the health economic evaluation, developing surveys for young people and parents, analyzing data, liaising with stakeholders, and disseminating findings through publications and reports. You should be able to work both independently and as part of a team.
Qualifications include a degree in a relevant quantitative discipline (mathematics, statistics, economics), experience with quantitative research methods and statistical software, and an interest in mental health research.
The position is based at Lancaster University’s Health Innovation One and may involve UK travel. The role offers flexible and hybrid working arrangements, with an indefinite contract contingent on external funding ending around February 2027.
