Role
To lecture, lead seminars, tutorials and other forms of undergraduate and postgraduate teaching.
1. To develop and apply innovative and appropriate teaching techniques and material which create interest, understanding and enthusiasm amongst students.
2. To carry out on-going curriculum review, including module content and materials and contribute to the development of teaching and learning strategies.
3. To undertake effectively a range of administrative responsibilities.
Skills, Experience & Qualifications needed
4. You will have a PhD in a cognate discipline relevant to the post. You should also hold an appropriate teaching qualification or be willing to complete the Postgraduate Certificate in Academic Practice.
5. You will have specialist knowledge in your subject area, enabling you to design, develop & deliver teaching appropriate to students in History. You will have experience of taking responsibility for teaching and learning at both undergraduate and postgraduate level. You will have the ability to supervise students at all levels.
6. You will have highly developed communication skills to engage effectively with a wide-ranging audience, both orally and in writing, using a range of media.
