General Maintenance Supervisor

Role Overview The General Maintenance Supervisor will manage all aspects of site and building maintenance, ensuring the facility, utilities, grounds, and infrastructure are maintained to a high standard. The successful candidate will be a time‑served tradesperson who has previously managed a maintenance team. This hands‑on role involves planning maintenance schedules, coordinating contractors, resolving building and site issues, and supporting smooth day‑to‑day operations across the facility.
Key Responsibilities
* Supervise and support the facilities maintenance team and oversee external contractors
* Plan and carry out preventative and reactive maintenance on buildings, utilities, and site infrastructure
* Manage upkeep of facilities including lighting, HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, drainage, and general building fabric
* Ensure the site is compliant with health & safety regulations and environmental standards
* Maintain accurate maintenance logs and site compliance documentation
* Respond promptly to facility‑related issues to minimise disruption
* Support site improvement projects and refurbishment works
Essential Criteria
* Previous experience in a maintenance supervisor role
* Strong all‑round maintenance skills (electrical, mechanical, building, utilities)
* Excellent organisational, communication, and leadership abilities
* Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail
