We're seeking a Senior Support Worker to join the Buckinghamshire Neuro Assessment Team in the Children and Young People's Mental Health Service.
As a senior support worker role in the neurodevelopmental team you will support the neurodevelopmental assessment of children and young people whose behaviour is suggestive of the need for an assessment, to enable clinicians to gain a full picture of the child's developmental history through the review of developmental forms that will enable you to begin to write the diagnostic report with clinician support.
* Support the Buckinghamshire CAMHS Neurodevelopmental Assessment Team in delivering neurodevelopmental assessments in the community
* Assist in identifying service users' strengths and needs, planning and supporting them, and evaluating the effectiveness of the assessment process with service users, carers, and the multidisciplinary team
* Maintain confidentiality and ensure all clinical information is supplied within required timescales to keep the team's data on the patient's electronic records up to date
* Participate in clinical meetings, manage emergency situations such as cardiac arrest and self-harm, and manage incidents of aggression
* Liaise with other relevant individuals involved with the patient as appropriate and agreed with the patient, and support patients with individual needs and choices
The ability to travel independently between sites within the Trust is essential for this role.
