We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented IT Support Assistant to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for technical support, ensuring smooth operation of computer systems, networks, and software applications. Your enthusiasm and problem-solving skills will help maintain our IT infrastructure's efficiency and security, enabling our team to perform at their best.
Duties:
* Provide first-line technical support to staff via phone, email, and in-person.
* Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues across Windows and mobile platforms
* Install, configure, and maintain computer systems, printers, and other peripherals
* Manage user accounts, permissions, and access rights in Active Directory and other systems
* Monitor and maintain IT infrastructure including servers, switches, and firewalls
* Document support requests, resolutions, and IT procedures
* Assist with onboarding/offboarding processes including device setup and access provisioning
* Support remote users and resolve VPN or connectivity issues
* Collaborate with vendors and escalate complex issues when necessary
* Ensure compliance with IT policies and data security standards
* Troubleshoot system issues escalating either internally or externally when required
* Create and maintain manuals/tutorials for staff to assist in using organisational hardware and software
* Manage IT stock ensuring availability and costs are controlled
* Test and introduce new technologies that can provide benefit to the business
* Staying up to date with the latest technologies
Requirements:
* Understanding of operating systems (Windows), Microsoft 365, and common business applications
* Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively
