Senior Project Manager at Murphy
Murphy is recruiting a Senior Project Manager for its Murphy Specialist Business Team working on BESS and Solar Projects. The role focuses on delivering projects safely, on time, within contract requirements and budget.
Responsibilities
* Fully accountable for the delivery of projects, ensuring safety, quality and budget compliance.
* Set overall project standards and deliver contract programmes.
* Identify, document and resolve project issues in a timely manner.
* Line‑manage Project Managers, Site Managers, Assistant Site Managers and Section Managers.
* Maintain effective client relationship management, providing updates to internal and external stakeholders.
* Ensure risk assessments are created, reviewed and updated as required.
* Develop operating plans to secure resources and materials.
* Resolve most operational issues, escalating business‑critical matters to the BU Director.
* Lead all commercial activities, managing gross margin, cost control and key financial metrics.
* Oversee subcontractor performance, ensuring commercial objectives are met.
Qualifications
* Experience delivering HV Transmission & Distribution or Major Civils Projects.
* Proven Project Manager experience.
* HNC/HND, NVQ Level 5 or a relevant Degree.
* Background in complex multi‑discipline projects with strong programme and cost controls.
* Excellent stakeholder management skills, establishing close working relationships with clients and subcontractors.
