Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Senior Healthcare Assistant to join our team. Duties
* Assist residents with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
* Support the implementation of individual care plans tailored to each resident's needs.
* Monitor and report any changes in residents' health or behaviour to the supervising staff.
* Maintain a clean and safe environment for residents by adhering to hygiene standards.
* Engage with residents through meaningful conversation and activities to promote their mental well-being.
* Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure effective communication and continuity of care.
* Drive residents to appointments or activities as required, ensuring their safety during transport.
* Participate in training sessions and meetings to enhance your skills and knowledge in senior care.
Experience
* Previous experience in a healthcare or caregiving role is advantageous but not essential; we welcome candidates who are eager to learn.
* Familiarity with IT systems used for documentation and communication within the care home environment is beneficial.
* Demonstrated leadership qualities, particularly in supervising or mentoring junior staff members, will be considered an asset.
* A genuine passion for providing high-quality care and support to elderly individuals is crucial for this role.
