One of the UK's largest confectionary science centres is looking for a Research Partner to join their team in Reading!
POSITION DESCRIPTION:
* This company provides a range of scientific research, analysis and consultancy services to the FMCG sector and to its parent company. The company is seeking a dynamic and experienced FMCG Leader who will help to secure and deliver a range of projects in Food R&D and innovation, through building strong relationships, harnessing the best of company capabilities and external links in the FMCG sector, industry bodies and government grant support.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead & contribute to project activities, such as meetings, preparation of communications i.e. newsletters, surveys, emails and network materials
* Co-ordinate & contribute to workshops, events & meetings.
* Conduct activities to support with building the network community
* Contribute to project administration tasks e.g. collating slides for project review meetings, chasing actions, collating metrics
* Contribute to the identification of new grants competitions, scope projects and support with bid writing
Skills needed:
* Strong planning with attention to detail skills, with a results-oriented mindset.
* Meeting & network event management experience
* Good communication, negotiation, and presentation abilities
* Team player but can work on own initiative
* Experience in IUK grant writing and/or project management for projects funded with IUK grants– preferred
* Knowledge of food industry - preferred
Key Interfaces
* External: Innovation hubs; Industry bodies and Research institutes; External existing and potential clients, External subject experts consultants
* Internal: LT, Department heads of Product Development and Analytical labs; BD/Sales team, Technical Specialists.
