This is a newly created Financial Controller position where you will report in to the Managing Director and will shape how finance supports the business
Description
The Financial Controller will be responsible for:
* Lead and manage the finance team to ensure the delivery of accurate financial reporting.
* Develop and implement financial strategies that align with business goals.
* Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
* Ensure compliance with all regulatory and statutory financial requirements.
* Analyse financial data to provide actionable insights for business improvement.
* Manage cash flow and optimise financial resources effectively.
* Collaborate with other departments to ensure financial alignment across the organisation.
* Present financial performance updates and recommendations to senior leadership.
Profile
The successful Financial Controller will be:
* A fully qualified accountant (ACA, CIMA, ACCA)
* Demonstrable experience in a similar role within a similar sized business
* Prepared to be hands on and in the detail
* Able to work with the SLT in supporting decision making
* Strong/Advanced excel skills
* Team Player
* Leisure/Hospitality/Travel experience would be desirable
Job Offer
The Financial Controller role comes with a base salary of £80,000-90,000 depending on experience, potential bonus, 25 days holiday, pension, 2-3 days in office hybrid working, discount holiday benefit, regular team socials, and the opportunity to progress within the business.
