VANRATH are recruiting an Estimator to work on leading projects across the island of Ireland, based out of the Omagh office. Preparing and sub-contractor/supplier packages for sending out to the market. Collecting quotes from material suppliers and sub-contractors. Analysing sub-contractor/supplier quotations for the most competitive and compliant. Planning job timescales, assist with programme preparation and assess the levels of risk on a project Assess individual rates and prices, amend, create new or insert from material and subcontract quotes. Attend relevant meetings/site visits. Prepare tender in accordance with project deadlines/finalisation with Head of Estimating. Experience in pricing tenders using an estimating system Presenting completed tenders to management The Ideal Person: Relevant Degree in Quantity Surveying or related discipline A minimum of 4 year's post-graduate experience in a similar / main contracting role; a background in Quantity Surveying / engineering is advantageous. Experience in pricing civil works (roads, site works, railways and concrete works). The ability to work effectively as part of a team Strong communication and negotiation skills Excellent attention to detail Strong IT skills: experience with estimating software packages, Autocad and QS take off packages plus Microsoft project.
