AWS DevOps Engineer - Manchester
Salary: 65,000 - 70,000 pa (depending on experience) plus benefits, perks and healthcare options
Location: Hybrid / 2 x days per week - Travel to Manchester

We are on the lookout for a talented and motivated Cloud DevOps Engineers to join a dynamic Cloud Pod. The client works in focused, agile teams called Pods – groups of technical professionals who come together to build and maintain cloud platforms. Your Role
* Design, build, and maintain cloud platforms with a focus on reusability, standardisation, and infrastructure-as-code practices.
* Work in agile, outcome-focused teams that align closely with client goals.
* Grow your expertise through training, certifications, and hands-on experience.
* Contribute to the evolution of Capgemini's cloud offerings through shared learning and innovation.
Your skills and experience
* Hands‑on experience with AWS services, Terraform, Ansible, Kubernetes (EKS), GitLab, and CI/CD pipelines for enterprise cloud deployments using code-based approaches.
* Skilled in day‑to‑day operations including monitoring, patching, upgrading, Landing Zone Accelerator (LZA), and security management.
* Strong foundation in infrastructure and networking principles, complemented by experience working in agile teams and familiarity with ITIL frameworks for end-to-end service delivery.
* Knowledge of AWS Landing Zone Accelerator components such as Service Control Policies (SCP), YAML, CloudFormation, and Identity Manager.
* Exposure to AWS Outposts and hybrid cloud environments, ensuring seamless integration and scalability.
* Ability to lead or contribute to technical discussions across architecture and engineering teams, driving best practices and innovative solutions.
Security Clearance Requirements
* You must be eligible for Security Check (SC) clearance.
* Applicants must have resided continuously in the UK for the past 5 years.
