Due to continued growth, they are seeking a Permanent Junior Electrical Estimator to join their expanding estimating team. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and ambitious individual looking to further develop their career within a supportive and forward‑thinking organisation.
The successful candidate will work closely with clients and internal teams to produce tenders for projects ranging from £100k to £10 million across South Wales and beyond. This is an office-based position.
Key Responsibilities
* Assist in preparing accurate cost estimates for electrical installations on projects valued between £100k and £10M.
* Use estimating and pricing software to generate detailed and competitive costings.
* Analyse electrical drawings, specifications, and project briefs to determine materials, labour, and associated costs.
* Review electrical requirements across residential, commercial, and industrial building plans.
* Obtain and evaluate supplier quotations, negotiate competitive pricing, and compile detailed cost breakdowns.
* Maintain and update a cost database to support efficient future estimating.
* Collaborate with internal departments and external partners to ensure estimates align with project scope and budgets.
Skills & Experience Required
* Minimum 2 years' experience in electrical estimating.
* Sound technical knowledge of electrical systems, installations, and schematics.
* Strong numerical and analytical skills.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong working relationships.
