Responsibilities and expectations for a retouching specialist focused on high-quality artwork, colour accuracy, and adherence to brand guidelines within an ecommerce and wholesale environment.
Responsibilities
 * Perform art working and image editing of photography to the highest standards, adhering to quality control guidelines and feedback on still life and model images.
 * Be highly proficient in the Adobe Suite and Capture One software.
 * Work across a broad range of images and categories during ecommerce seasonal uploads and wholesale selling seasons (JOOR) to meet upload targets.
 * Establish technical ability pertaining to invisible mannequins, model, product and jewellery images.
 * Demonstrate clear brand understanding and deliver consistent, quality artwork to specification.
 * Act as an ambassador for retouch guidelines, supporting detailed retouching notes and feedback provided by the Senior Retouchers and Content & Image Coordinator.
 * Act on behalf of the Senior Retouchers in their absence to translate and apply creative direction through to final deliverables.
 * Support Senior Retouchers with production processes and day-to-day retouch operations to meet deadlines.
 * Quality control on editing and colour checking/matching images with garments/products to ensure consistent colour accuracy.
 * Suggest retouch processes and software to enhance and update studio processes; collaborate with Photo Studio peers to advise on effective methods and provide innovative solutions to increase efficiency of the retouch workflow.
 * Maintain and organise personal retouch workload and checklist priorities, ensuring assets are submitted onto the VW dropbox for approval from the Senior Retouchers or Image and Content Coordinator.
 * Devise training and support with the Senior Retouchers to develop the team's technical and creative skills with Adobe Suite and Capture One.
 * Ensure consistent and open communication with the Senior Retouchers, Image and Content Coordinator or Ecom Studio Operations Manager to feedback on delays or changes to delivery schedules/deadlines.
 * Note: during the interview process you will be asked to complete a retouch trial set by the team, followed by a meeting onsite at our Merton Office.
Qualifications
 * 4 years' experience minimum within retouch/edit field.
 * A strong portfolio of creative work.
 * Able to attend our SW19 office at least 3 times a week.
 * Excellent Photoshop knowledge and a strong understanding of colour spaces and Mac systems.
 * Advanced knowledge of automotive retouching, specifically on still life, mannequin, and model.
 * Composite retouch experience.
 * Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
 * Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate.
 * Problem solving and decision-making skills – solution-focused.
 * Ability to multitask, manage and prioritise workload to meet deadlines.
 * Excellent accuracy and attention to detail.
 * Proactive attitude to problem solving and improving systems.
 * The capability to perform under pressure.
 * Experience in an ecommerce setting is preferred.
 * Commercially astute.
