We're seeking exceptional Gas Engineer Assistants. We focus on your values, skills, and cognitive abilities rather than just your CV. Our goal is to find candidates eager to support our engineers in repairing, replacing, and laying new gas mains and services.
How you'll help us:
* Support engineers on site and learn from them during gas service and mains repair activities.
* Excavate/dig in highways, lay and repair gas pipes, working safely in outdoor environments as part of a team.
* Maintain SGN vans and tools before and after each job.
We look for someone who:
* Wants to develop their skills through our specialised learning and development programmes.
* Shows resilience and can bounce back from setbacks.
* Is proactive, takes ownership, and delivers on tasks.
* Remains calm and adapts well in public interactions.
* Is willing to work on a rota, including weekends and nights, to keep customers safe and warm.
* Must be clean shaven and pass a face fit test to wear safety masks.
* Holds a valid UK driver's licence.
