About the role:
As our Transport Coordinator, you will assist the Transport Supervisor in efficiently organising and controlling the operation of the heavy goods vehicle fleet in the collection and disposal of waste, in order to achieve driver and vehicle production targets.
Your key responsibilities as our Transport Coordinator will include:
* Routing vehicles as efficiently as possible and monitor drivers work performance throughout the course of the day to ensure maximum productivity.
* Check and file driver tachograph cards in compliance with the Road Traffic Act and check the accuracy and standard of documents returned from drivers.
* Receive and record customer requests and orders, as well as liaise with the Sales team, Customer Service team and other depots to ensure adequate allocation of resources to meet customer expectations.
* Allocate customer requests and orders to collection vehicles and to ensure that collections not carried out on the specific day requested are given priority on the next working day.
What we’re looking for in our Transport Coordinator:
* Experience within a transport office or similar role.
* Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
* Comfortable working with IT solutions.
* Experience within the Waste industry (desirable)
* C1/C licence, CPC and tachograph (desirable)
