Teacher of languages

The Trinity School
Teacher
Posted: 25 November
Offer description

This is an exciting opportunity for an exceptional teacher with the ability to teach French to at least KS3, to use their abilities and knowledge, and to work alongside an outstanding Subject Leader in the development of our new secondary school. This post would appeal to both experienced teachers of MFL and those starting in their careers.

We moved to our new permanent site in the Chesterwell development in the Summer of 2023. The post will combine the opportunity to be part of an exciting and dynamic new school with the benefits of being part of the Alpha Trust, a supportive and high-performing MAT.

The successful candidate will work with the Senior Leadership Team to establish a school in which all students thrive. We are committed to excellence in all that we do and are unashamedly ambitious for the future success of our students.

The Languages Department at Trinity is a small, supportive and collaborative team. As a new school, we have a wide range of modern equipment and facilities to support learning. This opportunity comes at an exciting time as we are developing our Key Stage 4 curriculum, experience therefore teaching to GCSE level would be an advantage for any interested applicants.

As we grow, we are keen to develop our curriculum offer, so specialisms in any language would be considered. Currently, our offer is based on French, which is a very popular subject with many students selecting to study the subject in Key Stage 4. Therefore, an ability to teach French to Key Stage 3 standard is essential. We are also committed to a wide-ranging co-curricular offer. As a new and expanding school, there may be further career development opportunities in the coming years.

We are seeking to appoint an outstanding Teacher of Languages, who will:

* Be unashamedly ambitious for the future success of every child
* Place the highest priority on outstanding teaching and learning
* Model excellence and demonstrate a clear commitment to the school and its community
* Have the vision and ability to help develop outstanding teaching and learning
* Be a passionate advocate for our school community
If you are looking for an exciting, challenging and rewarding role within a supportive trust and have an unshakeable commitment to improving the lives of children, we look forward to receiving your application.

Appointment of the right candidate is also offered with priority admission for your child (subject to other criteria being met).

Full details are available on our website via the Apply button.

Alternatively, please contact Alison Tuckwell, Director of HR, or Jen Impey, Senior HR Consultant, on 01206 700910 or at vacancies@thetrinityschool.co.uk.

Closing date: 9.00am on 8 December 2025.

We may choose to close the advert early if we fill the vacancy before this date. Early application is therefore recommended.

Trinity School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. Any appointment is subject to references and an Enhanced DBS Disclosure.
