We are looking to recruit a friendly, competent, organised and a self-motivated individual to join the pharmacy team to work on a Saturday 9am to 1pm
You will have proven experience working within a dispenser role and MUST hold at least an NVQ level 2 in Pharmacy Dispensing.
Role would include:
Label and dispense prescriptions in accordance with standard operating procedures (SOP's) to ensure safe supplies are sent to patients in an efficient and accurate manner.
Dispensing repeat prescriptions and prescriptions from surgeries under the supervision of a Pharmacist
Ensuring that drugs are received and stored in an appropriate manner in accordance with the manufacturers' instructions (Following SOP's)
Ensuring that refrigerated items are stored at the appropriate temperature and maintaining the temperature control record/logbook (Following SOP's)
Ordering sufficient medication and stock in line with company procedures to meet customer demand and date/usage checking to maximise availability and minimise waste. (Following SOP's)
Creating and updating patient medication records (PMR) in accordance with data protection principles to ensure patient confidentiality is strictly met at all times.
Collating invoices and completing paperwork following pharmacy procedures.
Taking orders for patient repeats and dealing with queries from surgeries and patients
Using the computer to keep records up to date with patient repeat prescription ordering
Taking responsibility of all necessary housekeeping duties so that dispensary areas are kept clean and tidy at all times.
Working as part of a team and actively demonstrate a willingness to support the pharmacy and the pharmacy team.
Cleaning work surfaces and shelving on a regular basis and ensuring that all dispensary equipment is kept clean and kept in good working order.
Assisting in the sale of OTC goods.
The pharmacy dispenser must have:
* Previous Pharmacy dispensing experience
* Good time keeping, reliable and punctual.
* The ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
* A NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Pharmacy Services or equivalent
* Be able to work as part of a team and take your own initiative when required
* A 'can-do' attitude to assist where needed.
Positive attitude towards further training.
