Job Description
Machinist / Fitter required to join a small engineering machine shop supplying special purpose machinery / equipment to industries worldwide. This is a permanent position working for a world-renowned organisation with head offices based in Kettering. Hours of work are 37.5 per week, Monday to Friday.
The role will include:
* Using both manual and CNC machinery to produce components to engineering drawings
* Assembly and fitting components to produce machinery and mechanical assemblies to drawings
* Mechanical calibration of assembled machinery
* Meticulous documentation of design changes of deviations and calibration data
* General Production support as required
Applications are invited from candidates with the following qualifications / experience:
* Machining experience - both manual and CNC
* Manufacturing experience
* Ability to interpret engineering drawings
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Highly organised with great attention to detail
* Ability to work as part of a team and independently
* Computer literate and familiar with Microsoft Office
Desirable:
* NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in an Engineering discipline
