We are seeking a friendly and professional Restaurant Waitress to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional guest service, taking orders, serving food and beverages, and ensuring a memorable dining experience for all patrons. Responsibilities
* Greet guests warmly and seat them promptly, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere
* Take accurate food and beverage orders using the POS system or manually
* Serve meals and drinks efficiently while maintaining high standards of presentation and cleanliness
* Provide detailed information about menu items, including ingredients and dietary options
* Upsell additional items to enhance guest experience and maximise sales opportunities
* Ensure food safety standards are adhered to at all times during service
* Assist with basic food preparation tasks when required, maintaining hygiene standards
* Clear tables promptly and assist in resetting for new guests
* Handle guest inquiries courteously, resolving any issues or complaints professionally
* Maintain cleanliness in the dining area, including tables, chairs, and service stations
Experience
* Previous experience in hospitality or restaurant service is advantageous but not mandatory; training will be provided for suitable candidates
* Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper serving techniques is desirable
* Familiarity with food preparation or kitchen operations can be beneficial
* Strong time management skills to handle busy service periods efficiently
* Excellent guest service skills with a friendly and approachable demeanour
* Ability to work well within a team and adapt to changing priorities
* Basic maths skills for handling bills and transactions effectively
