About You
* Professional accountancy qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
* Proven experience preparing management accounts and reports to a high standard
* Strong Excel and systems skills, with knowledge of ERP systems (SAGE500 desirable)
* Excellent communication skills and the confidence to liaise with senior stakeholders
* A proactive and collaborative approach to problem solving and process improvement
Your Responsibilities
Always:
* Prepare monthly management accounts (P&L and Balance Sheet) to review stage, including variance analysis and resolving queries
* Oversee month-end reconciliations, including intercompany accounts
* Support the annual budget cycle, collaborating with budget holders and stakeholders
* Contribute to overhead cost forecasting
Often:
* Act as the main contact for external auditors, ensuring accurate and timely delivery of year-end requirements
* Liaise with tax and compliance teams to support regulatory obligations (e.g. HMRC filings, government returns)
* Lead or contribute to finance projects such as process improvements, transfer pricing updates, or policy changes
* Manage and maintain finance systems to ensure accurate and reliable reporting
Occasionally:
* Contribute to strategic finance projects and system enhancements
* Provide ad-hoc financial analysis and support broader business initiatives
Never:
