Construction Lawyer (In-house) – Newcastle
Join to apply for the Construction Lawyer (In:house) role at TipTopJob. In-house construction lawyer with PQE 4+ is sought to join a compact, dynamic legal team in Newcastle. The role is embedded in the business, supporting high-value international construction projects from inception to delivery.
Location: Newcastle, hybrid (3 days in-office).
Overview
Are you an experienced Construction Lawyer ready to contribute to a thriving, forward-thinking company? You will work closely with cross-functional teams to advise on project appointments, risk management, and wide-ranging construction matters while helping shape projects from start to finish.
Responsibilities
* Draft, review and negotiate major project agreements and contracts.
* Advise stakeholders across the business on construction-related legal matters.
* Implement and refine legal risk management policies.
* Lead or support team management as appropriate.
* Address broader legal challenges (property, IP, data protection, debt recovery).
* Contribute to strategic, business-wide legal initiatives.
Qualifications
* 4+ years of post-qualification experience.
* Strong knowledge of construction law, including professional appointments and standard form contracts.
* Bonus if experience in a consultancy or in-house with a client or contractor.
* Practical, solutions-focused mindset with strong communication skills.
* Ability to juggle complex projects and deadlines with clarity.
