We are partnering with a dynamic and growing accounting practice on the lookout for a strategic and experienced Head of Tax to lead its tax function. This is an opportunity for a forward-thinking professional to shape tax strategy, deliver high-quality advisory and compliance services, and support innovative businesses across the UK.
As a Head of Tax you will:
Oversee and enhance tax delivery across all service lines; Lead R&D claims with a focus on compliance and maximising value; guide on tax incentives and technical methodologies.
Design and deliver structured training for the team, including onboarding and ongoing development across technical and soft skills.
Support marketing, content creation, and the identification of upsell opportunities alongside the leadership and sales teams.
Line manage the tax team; contribute to recruitment, performance management, and internal process improvements.
respond to HMRC queries and manage risk across the tax portfolio.
Is a confident communicator, capable of simplifying complex tax topics for non-experts.
Has at least five years’ client-facing experience in a professional practice, with solid knowledge of compliance services including year-end accounts, VAT, and payroll.
Has in-depth knowledge of UK corporate tax.
Is commercially savvy, with the ability to identify opportunities for growth, improvement, and innovation.
