Hampshire and Isle of Wight Constabulary are rebuilding their Force Intelligence Bureau; a function that seeks to support in developing opportunities to disrupt force level threats, providing the relevant intel cells to significant risk and providing covert coordination for local policing initiatives. You will have access to force capabilities and liaise with border forces and the South East Regional Organised Crime Unit to ensure timely intelligence sharing and escalation.
Some of the roles tasks include but are not limited to:

Ensure effective communication and a strong working relationship between the District Commander and the Intelligence teams to tackle issues of Threat, Harm, Opportunity and Risk.

Engage with District DMM and other local meetings as directed by Intelligence managers in order to maintain connection with local policing and promote quality intelligence from all district staff.

Provide expert advice to staff on overt, tactical optionsacting as point of de:confliction for operational activity across districts.
:
Generate and develop Intelligence using a range of different sources including overt, covert, physical and technical methods.
:
To identify, develop and disseminate high risk intelligence to line managers, particularly in relation to intelligence indicating a potential risk to individuals (including staff and officers) or the public.

Provide and develop intelligence in accordance with ITD tasking processes to tackle THOR issues at District and Force level, utilising the resources within the ITD command, JOU or other departments as required.

Transfer to Hampshire and Isle of Wight Constabulary
This role has been designated as requiring an enhanced level of security clearance (vetting), successful applicants for this role must be prepared to participate in the relevant vetting procedure, if not already appropriately security cleared.
To be based at a nominated station within the Area, however may be required to work at any location across the Area as operationally necessary.
Essential Qualifications
:
You must be a serving police officer froma Home Office Force with no current performance or conduct concerns.
:
You must have successfully completed the two year probationary periodand the Policing Diploma,or your forces equivalent qualification at the point of application.
:
Hold the appropriate qualifications for your rank.
:
Hold a valid UK drivers licence.
