An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Science team for a full time Lecturer at West Herts College. We are a Further and Higher Education College dedicated to student success and achievement, working closely with stakeholders and local employers to promote continuous improvement and high standards for the benefit of the whole community. We aim to do the ordinary things extraordinarily well.
Responsibilities
* Teach on science courses ranging from BTEC Level 2 to Level 3; there may also be opportunities to deliver on the Extended Science Degree.
* Deliver the FE provision including Applied Science, Forensic Science and Psychology/Criminal Investigation courses.
* Promote, support and embed English and Maths skills within planning and delivery of all teaching.
* Provide prompt, detailed assessment of student work and experience of personal tutoring including target setting.
* Be part of a dynamic team and contribute ideas to the role; training and development are encouraged and supported to upskill.
Qualifications
* Teaching experience and a broad science knowledge are desirable.
* In particular, those with a Physics and Chemistry background are encouraged to apply.
