The Role
As a Sales Assistant you’ll be supporting your store team with driving sales performance and the day‑day running of your store. You’ll deliver exceptional customer service and experience to optimise KPI performance.

Therefore, We Are Looking For People Who
* Drive store performance by maximising sales opportunities. Support your team in meeting and exceeding targets through focusing on KPI delivery.
* Deliver exceptional market‑leading customer service to drive business growth through customer loyalty and repeat purchases.
* Offer VIP‑style concierge service, actively contacting customers with updates on products and tastings.
* Sell the story, not the discount: demonstrate passion for product through in‑depth knowledge of our range.
* Take ownership of your wine knowledge, constantly learning about our products to support WSET qualification and confidence in selling.
* Take accountability and pride for the physical appearance and maintenance of the store, both internally and externally.
* Perform all operational tasks required for day‑day store running — from delivering wine to customers, merchandising stock deliveries, and calling valued customers to drive sales opportunities.
* Continuously identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency and feed ideas back to the wider team for implementation.
* Remain fully compliant, safe and legal by following internal policies, processes and completing mandatory training.
* Serve as an example of Majestic’s Ways of Working and support junior team members, providing feedback to the Store Manager when appropriate.
* As a key holder, understand the opening and closing compliance and be confident to operate the store independently.

* Excellent time‑management, delegation and problem‑solving skills.
* Ability to deliver exceptional customer experience and service to every customer.
* Self‑motivated, able to thrive working alone and as part of a team.
* A can‑do attitude with a passion for seeing problems through to solutions.
* Adaptable and resilient to meet the ever‑changing demands of the business.
* Excellent communication and time‑management skills.
* Wine knowledge is beneficial; passion to learn and pass level 2 WSET wine qualifications is essential.
* Hold a full UK/EU/EEA driving licence for at least 12 months with no more than 6 penalty points.

* Contract: Permanent.
* Hours: 40 hours per week; must be able to work evenings and weekends.
* Driving: Essential — comfortable driving a company van and holding a full UK manual driver’s licence for at least 12 months.
