About the role
GAP Lifting Hire & Sales is one of the largest suppliers of lifting equipment and accessories in the industry, from small shackles and slings to material lifts and aluminium gantries. As a Technical Sales Representative (TSR), you will report directly to the Regional Operations Manager and be responsible for maximising lifting hire revenue opportunities from existing major account customers while winning new business.
Key responsibilities include:
* Delivering sales presentations to major account customers at a senior management level.
* Attending depot and customer trade days to promote our product offering.
* Working with Regional Sales Managers and their teams across the GAP Group network to proactively promote hire opportunities for lifting equipment within their existing customer base.
* Covering the Lifting Central region, maximising revenue for Nottingham, Peterborough, Sheffield and Birmingham depots, with the successful candidate based anywhere in between.
About You
* Significant experience working in a sales role within the lifting or hire industry is preferred, but candidates from any sales background will be considered.
* A proven track record of exceeding sales targets and generating revenue growth by maximising opportunities from existing customers and winning new business.
* Exceptional communication skills with the ability to engage with internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
* An effective negotiator and problem solver who works well under pressure and prioritises workload.
* Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word) and CRM systems.
* Valid Driving Licence (essential).
