Business Development Manager
Grants, Tax Incentives & Business Finance
Office-based in Salford Quays, Greater Manchester. Full-time 35-hour working week, Monday – Friday.
Basic salary £24,000 – £30,000 per annum (negotiable depending on experience) plus generous uncapped commission. Realistic OTE of £65,000 – £70,000 per annum.

Our client specialise in empowering businesses by helping them to access a variety of funding solutions. They are a leader in the R&D Tax sector and have expanded their offering to include Business Finance and other Tax Services. Their ultimate goal is to provide an all-encompassing finance function for their clients.
The Role:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an office-based Business Development Manager to join a growing internal sales team. Reporting to the Sales Director, you will be responsible for driving the commercial success of the Tax Services function.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Manage and expand their prospect database using a variety of sales prospecting methods, to attract new clients and referral partners
2. Maintain a wide network of clients and referral partners, managing these relationships with professionalism
3. Maintain a comprehensive and up-to-date knowledge of our clients products, services and solutions, with an emphasis on their tax services
4. Recognise and respond to changing client needs, providing recommendations for continuous improvement
5. Manage inbound queries from new and existing clients and partners in a timely manner
6. Deliver on KPIs as set by the business
7. Work cohesively with other departments to ensure clients receive best possible service
Skills and Experience Required:
Essential:
8. Some experience with or an interest in sales / business development
9. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to confidently engage and build relationships with clients
10. Strong work-ethic, self-motivated and proactive, with a results-driven mindset
11. Strong organisational skills
12. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
13. Good computer literacy
14. Ability to work effectively independently and as part of a team
Desirable:
15. Some experience in financial services or tax services
16. Proven sales target delivery experience
17. Network within the SME world
18. Knowledge of tax incentives such as Research & Development Tax Credits, Embedded Capital Allowances and Land Remediation Relief
