Location: Bisley, Surrey
Salary: Up to £33,500 per annum
Job Type: Full-time, On-site
Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, with occasional weekend work and overtime as required

Role Overview
We are seeking a proactive and experienced Grounds Supervisor to lead a small, dedicated team in maintaining the NRA's extensive grounds and facilities. This includes firing points, range floors, caravan sites, and communal areas across the camp. The role also involves preparing for key events and competitions throughout the season.
The successful candidate will have strong leadership and organisational skills, hands-on experience in grounds maintenance, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. A flexible, can-do attitude is essential, along with a willingness to work some weekends in line with event schedules.
Key Responsibilities
* Supervise, train, and lead the Grounds Team by example; plan and schedule daily tasks
* Ensure all NRA grounds, ranges and public areas are maintained to a high standard year-round
* Conduct routine and proactive maintenance of all grounds, including seasonal preparations
* Identify and carry out necessary tree and vegetation management
* Coordinate with external contractors for scheduled and ad hoc work
* Maintain and record all grounds-related equipment, ensuring proper upkeep and usage
* Respond to reactive maintenance needs involving ground structures and minor repairs
* Manage materials ordering, stock control, and inventory for Grounds operations
* Adhere to and promote compliance with all relevant Health & Safety regulations
* Complete relevant administrative duties as directed
Desirable Skills and Attributes
· Proven experience in supervisory or team leader role
· Minimum 3 years' experience in professional grounds maintenance; horticultural qualifications are a plus
· Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
· Confident is using a wide range of powered garden tools and machinery with basic technical troubleshooting skills
· Skilled in the use of hand tools and workshop equipment (e.g. drills, saws)
· Basic carpentry or woodworking experience
· Customer-focused approach with a problem-solving mindset
· Ability to plan, delegate and manage daily tasks effectively
· Confident communication and interpersonal skills
· Full UK driving licence (required)
