Vickerstock are working in partnership with a food production firm on the appointment of a Health and Safety Officer.
As a Health & Safety Officer, you will support the business in implementing Health & Safety policies and procedures, and meeting all legal obligations whilst ensuring the Health, Safety and well-being of the workforce.
In your new role:
1. Offer support and Health & Safety guidance to managers, team leaders and staff
2. Assist in the development and implementation of company policies
3. Maintain compliance with applicable Health & Safety regulations
4. Perform Health & Safety audits, inspections and incident investigations
5. Prepare and maintain accurate reports as required
6. Carry out Risk Assessments and develop appropriate follow-up action plans
7. Conduct internal audits and support external audit processes
8. Follow and reinforce all Health & Safety protocols
9. Deliver internal training sessions and coordinate external training where necessary
10. Uphold and actively promote the organisation's core values
What you will need to succeed:
11. 2+ years' experience within a similar H&S role
12. Relevant Health and Safety qualifications (NEBOSH, etc)
13. Experience with report writing, auditing, RAMS
14. Good communication skills
15. IT and numeracy skills (MS Office)
16. Full clean driving license
Desirable (it would be great if you have this, but don't worry if you don't):
17. NEBOSH Diploma or Degree
18. Experience within the food industry
