Overview
We are seeking an experienced Electronics Engineer to assist with the engineering development of a high-profile defence project. You will assist with requirement and architecture definition and maturation, design new PCB level electronics to work alongside COTS modules and work with the wider project team to support integration and qualification.
You will be required to be on site a minimum of 3 days per week. This is an initial 6 month assignment, with the option for extension. This role is outside of IR35.
It is highly desirable for the client if you are a UK national with the ability to gain SC.
Responsibilities
* Contribute to requirement and architecture definition and maturation for a defence project
* Design PCB level electronics to integrate with COTS modules
* Collaborate with the project team to support integration and qualification activities
* Work on-site as required (minimum 3 days per week)
Qualifications
* Knowledge of all stages of the engineering development life cycle
* Experience of PCB level design (Siemens Xpedition preferred but not essential)
* Design solutions that meet DEF STAN 59-411, Mil-Std 461(EMC) / Mil Std 819 (HTV) & CE standards
* Experience using DOORS
