Duty Manager - Watford
We're looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Duty Manager to lead our in-park operations and help us create unforgettable experiences — one guest at a time.
Job Purpose
As a Duty Manager, you'll take responsibility for the day-to-day operational and commercial performance of the park during your shifts.
You'll be the senior person on duty, leading the team to deliver outstanding guest experiences while maintaining the highest standards of health, safety, and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead the operational running of the park during your shifts, following all daily opening, closing and operational procedures.
* Ensure the health, safety and well-being of all guests and team members is the top priority at all times.
* Manage the on-shift presentation and cleanliness standards of all areas of the park, including the Diner.
* Actively deploy and supervise team members, scheduling break times and rotating duties to maintain energy and service levels.
* Be the lead point of contact for any on-shift incidents, accidents or operational issues, and manage them in line with policies.
* Accurately log and report incidents, including actions taken, timelines, and collecting statements or photographic evidence.
* Quickly assess and escalate issues to the Assistant General Manager (AGM) or General Manager (GM) where necessary.
* Support the AGM and GM with team performance, coaching, and adherence to company policies.
* Promptly report and manage maintenance issues via the correct operational systems.
* Create a fun, energetic and exciting park atmosphere that motivates your team and delights our guests.

Experience / Qualifications
* 2+ years of management or supervisory experience (preferred)
* Experience in the leisure or hospitality industry (desirable)
* Strong knowledge of Health & Safety procedures
* First Aid at Work qualification (preferred)
* Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate (preferred)
* Excellent communication and people management skills
Working Conditions
* Pay: £12.60 per hour
* Fridays to Sundays and all school holidays are considered peak periods — you must be available during these times
* Training, tools and ongoing support provided
* 40% discount on park food and drinks
* Shifts typically range from 6–10 hours and additional hours often available during school holidays.
