Job Spec - Senior Quantity SurveyorAn exceptional opportunity for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to lead high-value RC frame, high-rise new build residential projects within a fast-growing, ambitious construction company. This role offers full ownership of projects valued between £10 million and £40 million, with responsibility for driving commercial success while mentoring a strong, striving commercial team.

* Also delivers main contracting projects across Residential, Commercial & Hospitality sectors
* Works with Housing Associations, Local Authorities, Developers & Private Landlords

Key Responsibilities:
* Lead the full commercial management of high-rise residential projects valued between £10M - £40M
* Develop and manage detailed budgets, cost plans, and tender documentation
* Negotiate, procure, and manage subcontractor and supplier contracts at senior level
* Administer contracts ensuring strict compliance with legal and financial obligations
* Oversee valuations, variations, claims, and final accounts accurately and timely
* Deliver regular financial reporting, forecasts, and commercial risk assessments
* Conduct site visits to monitor progress and resolve commercial issues proactively
* Provide leadership, mentoring, and guidance to junior and assistant QS team members
* Collaborate closely with Commercial Managers, Directors, and project teams to shape strategy and delivery
Candidate Profile:
* Proven Senior Quantity Surveyor experience, ideally with RC frame, high-rise residential projects
* Strong commercial acumen, leadership skills, and the ability to manage complex contracts
* Confident negotiator with excellent numerical and communication skills
* Ambitious, organised, and capable of leading multiple projects and teams simultaneously
Package:
* Salary: £70,000 - £100,000 (depending on experience)
* Benefits: Car allowance, discretionary bonus, travel expenses, private medical
* Holiday: 22 days + bank holidays (rising to 29)
