MCD are a nationwide company with offices located across the country. Our Utility Surveying team is rapidly growing and are taking on more projects across the UK. Therefore, we are always looking for experienced Utility Surveyors to join our team.
Duties and Responsibilities
Our utility surveyors will be working remotely primarily doing utility clearance surveys, full utility mapping surveys, and occasionally PAS128 surveys to the highest standard possible. You will carry out these jobs from start to finish, including the drawings.
We are looking for someone who has a strong work ethic, is pro-active, and has a high attention to detail, as well as excellent written and verbal communication skills. A full Proqual level 3 utility mapping surveyor qualification is required for this role.
1. Capable of using GPR, GPS, CAT, and Genny equipment.
2. Able to carry out utility surveys from start to finish.
3. Be able to carry out PAS128 surveys.
4. Sufficient knowledge of CAD.
5. Be willing to travel nationwide with some overnight stays.
6. Happy to communicate with clients and site managers.
7. Willing to learn new things, i.e., topographic surveys.
8. At least 1 year of experience carrying out utility surveys.
9. Happy to work night and weekend shifts as and when required.
10. Be able to lead a team of surveyors on site.
11. Have confidence to liaise with clients on site and be sure of what to do.
12. Able to train others.
Candidates must be eligible to work in the UK and have a full UK driving license. There will be occasions when work dictates working around the country, so working away from home will be essential.
