£200.00 - £300.00 per day (depending on experience)
Pearson Whiffin Education is seeking a passionate and experienced Geography Subject Lead Teacher for a well-regarded secondary school in the Ashford area. This is a long-term, full-time role with full responsibilities — marking and planning are included.
This is an exciting opportunity to lead the Geography department and inspire students across Key Stages 3 and 4. You’ll be joining a supportive Humanities team in a school with a strong commitment to academic excellence and staff development.
What You’ll Be Doing:
Leading the Geography subject area, shaping curriculum delivery and departmental strategy
Teaching Geography across KS3 and KS4 with full responsibility for planning, delivery, and assessment
Supporting the progress and achievement of students through engaging, well-structured lessons
Contributing to a positive and collaborative department environment
The Ideal Candidate Will:
Hold QTS or equivalent teaching qualifications
Have experience teaching Geography at KS3 and KS4
Demonstrate strong subject knowledge and a passion for the subject
Possess excellent classroom and behaviour management skills
Be proactive, enthusiastic, and ready to take on a leadership role
