Software Developer (Mid-Level) | Location: Leeds (1-2 days per week on-site) | £40,000 - £50,000The Role
We're working with a growing business looking to bring in a Software Developer to support the ongoing development of a bespoke platform that powers key areas of the organisation.
This is a great opportunity for someone with a couple of years' experience who wants to work on end-to-end systems and continue developing across backend, frontend, and cloud technologies.
What You'll Be Doing
* Building and maintaining features across a full-stack application
* Developing and enhancing APIs that support internal systems and customer-facing platforms
* Working within a PHP (Laravel) backend and contributing to a React Native frontend
* Supporting integrations across multiple systems and services
* Contributing to a cloud-based AWS environment, including serverless components
* Writing clean, maintainable, and well-tested code
* Collaborating with product, design, and engineering teams
* Debugging and resolving issues across the platform
Tech Stack
* Backend: PHP, Laravel
* Frontend: React Native, JavaScript, jQuery
* Database: MySQL
* Local Development: MAMP
* Cloud: AWS (Lambda, API Gateway)
* Architecture: API-led, highly integrated systems
What We're Looking For
* Commercial experience as a Software Developer (ideally 2+ years)
* Strong experience with PHP and Laravel
* Experience with JavaScript, including jQuery
* Experience working with MySQL or similar relational databases
* Familiarity with local development environments such as MAMP
* Experience building or consuming APIs
* An interest in or exposure to AWS / cloud technologies
* A proactive mindset and willingness to learn
Nice to Have
* Experience with React Native
* Exposure to AWS services (Lambda, API Gateway, etc.)
* Experience working on integrated or business-critical platforms
