The Role We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and committed History Teacher to join our successful Humanities department from September 2025. This is a fantastic opportunity to inspire a love of history and develop students’ critical thinking, analytical, and writing skills across Key Stages 3 and 4. Experience or interest in teaching Key Stage 5 would be an advantage, but is not essential. Key Responsibilities * Deliver engaging, well-structured history lessons that motivate and challenge all learners. * Plan and assess learning in line with the national curriculum and department schemes of work. * Promote a passion for history and an understanding of how the past shapes the present. * Contribute to the wider life of the school through clubs, trips, and enrichment activities. * Uphold the school’s high standards of behaviour, engagement, and academic achievement. Candidate Profile * Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a relevant degree in History or a related field. * Experience teaching history at KS3 and KS4 (KS5 desirable but not essential). * Excellent subject knowledge and a passion for making history accessible and exciting. * Strong classroom management and a commitment to inclusive, high-quality teaching. * A team player with a proactive and reflective approach to professional growth.
