Our ambition is to build a global portfolio of sports and entertainment properties, providing commercial, operational, creative and strategic expertise. As part of this growth, we are seeking a commercially minded, strategically driven Head of Commercial Partnerships to lead our partnerships strategy, drive revenue growth and deliver exceptional value across our clients and owned properties.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead the development of the commercial partnerships strategy across Sela’s owned properties and client projects.
* Collaborate closely with marketing, strategy, events, production and creative teams to ensure seamless execution of all partnership activities.
* Own the partnerships revenue pipeline, ensuring accurate forecasting and transparent reporting.
* Lead new business development, identifying, prospecting and securing innovative commercial partnerships across multiple sectors.
* Build and maintain senior‑level relationships with brand decision‑makers, rights holders, agencies and industry stakeholders.
* Develop compelling, insight‑driven proposals tailored to partner objectives.
* Work with legal teams to negotiate, draft and finalise partnership agreements, ensuring accuracy, compliance and value.
* Identify opportunities to expand or evolve partnerships to support long‑term growth.
* Oversee the end‑to‑end delivery of partnerships, ensuring activations are executed creatively and effectively.
* Establish clear KPIs and measurement frameworks to track success and ROI for all partnerships.
* Lead renewal strategies and negotiations based on insights, performance and strategic alignment.
* Ensure timely and accurate reporting to partners, rights holders and internal leadership.
* Represent Sela at industry conferences, networking events, and client presentations.
* Act as a senior ambassador for the business, promoting our capabilities and reinforcing our market position.
* Serve as a key point of contact for external stakeholders, supporting major negotiations and commercial discussions.
* Conduct post‑event and post‑campaign reviews to assess commercial performance, partnership delivery and revenue outcomes.
* Provide strategic recommendations to optimise commercial outcomes for future projects and long‑term growth.
* Build, develop and inspire a high‑performing partnerships team, fostering a culture of collaboration, creativity and commercial excellence.
* Set clear performance goals and provide coaching and guidance to support continuous improvement.
* Monitor team performance and drive achievement of revenue and pipeline targets.
* Identify emerging trends, audience behaviours and new commercial opportunities across sport and entertainment.
Skills & Experience
* 10+ years’ experience in commercial partnerships, sponsorship, business development or commercial roles within sports, entertainment or media.
* Proven track record in securing and delivering high‑value, multi‑year partnerships.
* Strong network of contacts across brands, agencies, and rights holders.
* Excellent communication, pitch and negotiation capabilities.
* Strategic thinker with entrepreneurial energy and creativity.
* Strong leadership experience, with the ability to guide teams and manage complex, cross‑functional projects.
* Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, agile and evolving environment.
